Comic Con Scotland 2024 – It Can Only Be Acme!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the behemoth that is Acme Comic Con. It’s huge. It’s gigantic. In fact, it’s a pop-culture-planet dedicated to fans of comic books, Anime, TV and movies, gaming, wrestling and cosplay. As I say, HUGE.
Acme’s Autumn Comic Con lands at the SEC on Sat 28th and Sun 29th Sept. Halls three and four of the SEC will once again echo with the sound of Jedi knights, Avengers assembling, the fiery force of DragonBall and the gaming world of Fortnite.
What’s On?
With opportunities to buy your favourite Anime books, look for your top Pokémon V-star or pose in your best CosPlay gear, it’s a weekend to immerse yourself in your imagination, in your worlds. With stage events, free gaming and the BEST props to capture your insta moments, it’s going be a good one.
Costumes? Yip, you know you want to, especially with photo ops in high demand. But those clever Road Runners at Acme have done all the hard work for you. Because the list of special guests to capture that picture-perfect selfie with, is a belter.
- From BAFTA award winning Baldur’s Gate 3 -Tim Downie, Emma Gregory, Andrew Wincott and Tracey Wiles.
- Multi award winning actor, Billie Piper, best known for her roles in Dr Who, Secret Diaries of a Call Girl and most recently the smash hit Netflix drama, Scoop.
- From Good Omens – Maggie Service and Quelin Sepulveda
- Hattie Hayridge from Red Dwarf also joins the lineup of TV stars.
And for comic book fans, there are some true icons attending.
- Superstar artist Jock – best known for Batman, Green Arrow Year One, as well as The Last Jedi and The Losers, will be attending the weekend.
- Al Ewing of Immortal Hulk fame
- Alan Martin, co-creator of British icon Tank Girl will also be in the Comics Village
