Western Lettings has a clear purpose. Our mission is to Make Renting Better. We want to do more than just shake off old stereotypes. We want to prove that we are Making Renting Better for everyone.
Businesses should improve the lot of all their stakeholders. This includes customers, suppliers, employees, communities, and the environment. Doing so will not only Make Renting Better but enable our business to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As we go about the business of Making Renting Better, we are leaving evidence that we are staying true to our purpose.
It’s uplifting to read the publicly available and unbiased reviews of Western Lettings on Google or Trustpilot. Surveys conducted each month with a selection of our clients also reflect these sentiments.
The expectations of how we expect our non-contracted colleagues to behave are clearly communicated, they are trusted members of the team.
We’re the only Investors in People (Gold) accredited estate or letting agency in Scotland and one of only a handful in the UK. We’re also rated at Gold against the We Invest in Wellbeing framework. Training and development are continuous. We’re a Real Living Wage accredited employer.
Employees are given 20 days of paid leave per year for volunteering. We are active in the Prince’s Trust, support local food banks, children’s charities and a hospice. We are the principal sponsor of a local Hockey team.
For The Environment
We’re the only carbon neutral accredited letting agent in Glasgow, and one of only two in Scotland. Our carbon footprint has reduced over the 3 years of measurement. Our car fleet is all-electric, and we are continuously looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
As well as the above evidence, we’ve added a few more industry awards to our shelf. They include Residential Letting Team of the Year at Scottish Home Awards in 2021 and the Herald Property Awards in 2022.
Social proof will become more important as consumers increasingly engage with providers who they discover online. We’re doing what we think is right and gathering proof that it’s working.
