Top for a Good Laugh

This time of year, is all about spending time with friends and family.  What better place to do it than at The Stand Comedy Club in Woodlands.  The Stand Christmas Special is on this December with three shows running over the middle weekend.  The middle weekend -more commonly known as Christmas- Work- Do weekend!  So, forget about wearing paper hats and eating over-priced turkey.  Instead come and get some Christmas cheer from the very best comics from the UK and beyond. And with the regular weekly shows still on throughout Nov and Dec, why not challenge convention?  Christmas night out at Red Raw on a Tuesday, at The Friday Show on, eh, a Friday.  Or don’t forget the little ones with The Big Christmas Kids Comedy Show running on selected dates?  Fill your belly with laughs, not turkey this Christmas.

Top for Unique Gifts

The dread.  What to get someone who has everything.  More and more it’s thoughtful gifts, unique gifts that have taken the place of ‘what does she need?’  Fear not, for the quite fabulous Tea Green Events will, once again set up their Winter Market at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum this December.  Around 70 independent makers will be there, returning for a second year in a row.  Westender Magazine recently featured one of the creatives April Hay of Agate and Ayre.  April’s textile brand features stunning geological designs on her fabrics and are truly unique. And if Agate and Ayre are anything to go by, eye catching, beautifully curated gifts will be on show this December.
