A Week of Italian Cheese At Eusebi Deli

Say Cheese! A Week of Italian Cheese At Eusebi Deli

If you happen to be wandering past the much-loved Eusebi Deli this week, make sure you stop in to sample some incredible Italian cheeses. From today through to the 12th of November, customers can stop by the restaurant and taste a variety of exceptional Italian cheeses for free, while learning about their tasting notes and recipes available for each cheese. It is officially a cheese lover’s dream!

The Italian Cheese Promotion, by the Italian Trade Agency, will allow customers to taste PDO status cheeses with the knowledgeable Eusebi Deli staff on hand to help you learn about the geography, history and culture of Italy that makes these cheeses so special.

The Italian Cheese Promotion is an international campaign run by the Italian Trade Agency to raise awareness of the incredible quality and diversity of Italian Cheeses in Scotland and throughout the UK. The aim of this promotion is to introduce the public to a wider range of Italian cheeses, and allow them to become familiar with preparing dishes and enjoying cheeses that may be new to the British consumer.

The selection of Italian PDO and non-PDO cheeses available to taste will include popular favourites like Asiago, Gorgonzola, Mozzarella di Bufala, Burrata, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Pecorino Romano, alongside some that may be less familiar to the British consumer like Grana Padano, Pecorino Toscano, Provolone Valpadana, and Taleggio.

Giovanni Sacchi, Director of the Italian Trade Agency in London, said:“We’re absolutely delighted to be showcasing some fantastic Italian cheeses at Eusebi’s Deli. For this promotion we have worked with Assolatte, the premier association of Italian Cheesemongers. We will be displaying some of the finest PDO cheeses and many others as well, ones that you won’t always find in your UK supermarket. The aim of this promotion is to get people more familiar with a wider range of Italian cheeses, some of which may be new to the British consumer such as the Provolone Valpadana, Scamorza, L’Italico and Pecorino Toscano.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be showcasing these cheeses in Glasgow as a part of our UK-wide and international campaign. We’ve recently participated in the Stafford Cheese fair too, where people literally went crazy for Taleggio and Asiago, as well as the very well known Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano. We have also run successful Italian Cheese Promotions in Edinburgh, Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire, and Yorkshire.”

Well, we don’t know about you, but if there is free Italian cheese on offer, you can guarantee that we’ll be taking ourselves down to Eusebi Deli this week! The campaign runs from today, Monday 6th November, through to Sunday 12th November, so don’t miss out!
