Union of Knives Announce New Album

The Glasgow electro-rock group return after the success of 2021’s Endless From The Start

After a lengthy hiatus, Union of Knives returned with new music in 2021 with the innovative Endless from the Start.

Back for 2024, the new album Start from the Endless continues with the thread of its predecessor. This time round though the music is a little darker, bringing an atmospheric tone to the beautifully crafted dance inspired melodies. Founding member Chris Gordon explains his concept for the two-parter. ‘It had always been my intention to make this a double album with the second part being a little more expansive, shadowy and cinematic’ Chris says. ‘That said, there are a few bangers in there too.’

The Glasgow band, now on their third album are known for their unique style of electronic rock. Start from the Endless continues with this tradition. Lead single ‘Salut Salut’ blends a mesmeric rhythm with electrifying drum and vocals. Indeed all 10 tracks blend rock rhythms with synthesised electro beats seamlessly.

The Line Up

The line up of the band continues to have Chris Gordon front and central with Anthony Thomaz (DopeSickFly), Peter Kelly (The Kills, Ladytron) and guest vocals from both Chris’ wife Lucy and Daisy Miles adding to the band’s artistry whilst retaining it’s unique quality.

The release of Start from the Endless will be marked with a special gig at The Hug and Pint on 6th April. The group have featured in the likes of Grey’s Anatomy and The Vampire Diaries, so this very special show is an absolute treat for fans of the band and those who have admired them from TV.
