New Year’s Eve, or for us fellow scots, Hogmanay, is a celebratory occasion that we all cherish and love dearly. The origins of Hogmanay can be dated all the way back to the Viking era, where they would celebrate the winter solstice with wild parties at the latter end of December. Nowadays, however, Hogmanay is a chance for everyone to look back at the year they’ve had, whether it was good or bad they can reflect and celebrate just how far they have come. As they brace themselves for another whole year of mystery. Let’s not forget that we can also celebrate with wild parties just like our predecessors. First on our potential Hogmanay spots will come as no surprise to a lot of you, an event that has been going on for years and is loved dearly by so many. Ashton Lane’s Hogmanay street party is back and it is bigger than ever. The evening is filled with everything you need in order to make it one of the most memorable nights of your life. From Street food and festive drinks to live music, as long as you bring a jacket to fight off the winter chills then this is a must! Beginning at 7pm and finishing at 1am, make sure you try to purchase tickets as soon as you can.

Oran Mor

Next up on our places to be this Hogmanay, Oran Mor. Offering out as much as they can to their customers, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to Oran Mor. Depending on what kind of night you want, they are making it easy for their customers to choose, first up, Hogmanay in the auditorium. A true reflection on our Scottish heritage, this event will feature ceilidh classics from their in-house band, accompanied by a luxurious four-course dinner. If you’re not a dancer and simply want a nice relaxed night, then why not book Hogmanay at the Brasserie, where you will be served a three-course A La Carte Menu and can ring in the bells in style. Hillhead Book Club X We Should Hang Out More

Collaborating with one of the most notable DJ duos, Hillhead book club is not one to be missed this Hogmanay. Not only will you be able to hear firsthand the energetic and exciting sets that they will play but you are also able to do it surrounded by your friends and loved ones in the beautiful building that is Hillhead Book Club.
