Glasgow’s Golden Generation is the city’s leading charity for elderly care. The charity provides excellent support services in the form of day centres, clubs and befriending to name but a few. Aiming to improve the lives of older adults in Glasgow, the team tackle loneliness and isolation and advise on benefits too.
The local Fred Paton Centre on Carrington St is one of the vital Day Centres which supports elderly in our local community. But this fantastic charity needs your help!
The Glasgow Kiltwalk is a fantastic fundraising event. Registration is now open for the Kiltwalk which takes place on Sunday 30th April. Why not consider walking on behalf of Team GGG, raising funds to continue providing vital services for older adults in our community?
There are three different lengths of walk. The Mighty Stride is 22 miles from Glasgow Green to the beautiful banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch. The Big Stroll is 14 miles leaving from Clydebank to also finish at Balloch. The Wee Wander is ideal for the whole family from children to dogs walking 3 miles from Loch Lomond Shores to Moss O’Balloch Park.
