Endless days with the aroma of flowers springing to life...

May is an exciting month as the outdoors beckon. What’s happening in tour dear green West End? Time for the May Newsletter.

Fabulous fauna, mesmerising music and street art a-plenty – magnificent May has a lot to pack in!

Olivia at the Ovo

The outrageously talent Olivia Rodrigo has been
flying high the last few years with hits like ‘Driving Licence’ and ‘Vampire’. This May, Olivia comes in to land at our very own Ovo Hydro for one night on the 7th. I am not afraid to admit, like Westender’s
very own music guru, Greg Kane, I happily sing along with my 10 year old to this 21 year old’s ridiculously catchy songs (‘Mum don’t say catchy’).

CATCH Olivia at the Hydro for a sensational night.

Awesome Orchids at the Kibble

It’s like they planned it. A flower festival in May at
the beautiful Kibble Palace. Could there be a more
beautiful venue for the Scottish Orchid Society to
hold their annual orchid fair? These sensitive
flowers need care and nurturing and the orchid
society have all the advice and tools you will need.
Transport yourself to a tropical paradise and take
a trip to the fair on Sat 11th and Sun 12th of
May for a botanical feast for the senses!

Art Attack at SWG3

6th Annual Yardworks Festival splashes onto the walls of SWG3 at the beginning of May. The best of global street, urban and graffiti art will takeover Eastvale Place and convert it into a public gallery. Central to the festival is the permanent home of Glasgow street artists, the Yardworks Studio. With art being created ‘live’ in the Galvanizers yard, Yardworks is always an incredible fun, vibrant weekend for young and old alike.
