Dean Owens and the Sinners

Scotland on Tour returns!
The year long Scotland on Tour programme is returning to the West End on Thursday 9th March. Westender reported last year on the incredible initiative, created and managed by Active Events. A £750,000 investment by the Scottish Government backed the nationwide showcase, with an eclectic mix of musical genres, visiting cities, towns and villages.

New Band, New Songs

Now, back in Glasgow, Cottiers Theatre will play host to a special performance from Dean Owens and the Sinners. The award winning singer-songwriter brings his unique blend of Scottish music and Americana influence to the West End stage. The concert will include songs from the singer’s new album plus favourites from Dean’s previous works. Dean says,
‘I’m delighted to be a part of Scotland on Tour. It’s a fantastic initiative after a tough couple of years for the industry. I can’t wait to bring my new band The Sinners to these venues, many of which are new to me and not on the usual touring circuit. I’m looking forward to showcasing songs from my new album Sinner’s Shrine, recorded in Tucson with Calexico. It feels so good to be hitting the road again.’
It’s not Dean’s first performance in Glasgow, but with the Sinners accompanying him, it’s sure to be a special show. Kevin Morris of the Fallen Angels Club says,
‘After Dean’s sold out show during our Glasgow Americana festival, we are delighted to have him return with his full band. The Scotland on Tour initiative allows promoters and musicians the opportunity to work on such shows.’
The initiative has seen 100 artists perform 350 shows in the year since April 2022. And it’s not over yet with some fantastic acts still to play this March.
