A new patisserie is opening in Glasgow’s West End.
But this isn’t just any new bakery. Valaria is a new patisserie from the team behind restaurant concept Six by Nico. The new venue will serve artisan pastries, signature eclairs, cutting edge cakes as well as French Macarons.
Valaria’s range of pastries, cakes, breads and chocolates ensures there are a range of treats to suit customers palates. The different signature Eclairs alone will have a queue forming outside. And with the patisserie having its own house coffee blend to accompany your breakfast pastry, it’s a win win situation.
Transformation
The 34 seater cafe is due to open on 16th of February 2023. The newest addition to Byres Road Cafe Culture is opening on the site which was occupied by the Vodafone store. But inside couldn’t be further from the site’s previous incarnation. The interior has been lovingly transformed to include the pinks and pistachio shades intrinsic to a French Patisserie.
Sixco Group, the owners of Valaria commissioned Glasgow-Based Contractors One Call to make the transformation. Mario Formasano, CEO of One Call notes, ‘We have been working with Sixco since the beginning back in 2017. This project has been exciting to work on as it’s very different from what we normally do. More intricate detailing was required with a feminine touch to really bring the feeling of french patisserie to life. Working alongside Burns Design, we have been able to turn around the project in a short space of time while nailing the brief. The space is open, welcoming and brightens up Byres Road perfectly.’
New Experience
General Manager of Valaria Ronan Mallon is equally as enthusiastic about the new patisserie in Glasgow West End. Ronan adds, ‘We are excited to bring some of the most innovative and luxurious cakes Scotland has ever seen to Glasgow. We are launching Valaria with a brand new concept store for the first time, debuting our signature bakes and goods that will be freshly prepared on site. The Patisserie will be a new experience for Glaswegians, and our team is looking forward to showcasing our sumptuous products.’
Valaria will be open from 8 am – 8 pm, 7 days a week.
